Two of her all-time favorite games are the original Shadow Hearts and Final Fantasy IX. Nintendo announced that Kirby’s Dream Buffet will launch on the Nintendo eShop menu on August 17. Kirby’s Dream Buffet offers easy-to-understand gameplay for players of all skill levels, but also presents a healthy challenge for those looking to satiate their craving for friendly competition. Players will race each other through these delicious obstacle courses to collect strawberries as Kirby grows, bumping other players off the stage and using familiar Copy Abilities – or Copy Food Abilities, as they are called in this game – to thwart the competition. Kirby’s Dream Buffet finds Kirbys rolling through a smorgasbord of food-themed stages in four rounds of frantic multiplayer fun. Todays trailer is light on details, other than the fact Kirbys Dream Buffet will be a Nintendo Switch eShop exclusive, and online play will be supported.
The press release mentions that Kirby’s Dream Buffet will support both local and online multiplayer. A more specific release date has not yet been announced at this time. Kirby’s Dream Buffet is scheduled to launch for Nintendo Switch sometime this summer. Nintendo has officially announced a brand new multiplayer Kirby game.
